About Unblock

Unblock is a sliding-car puzzle set on a six-by-six lot. A red car waits on the third row, and a blue car stands in the way. Cars can only slide along their own line, forward or backward, never sideways, and they cannot pass through each other. Your job is to free a path and drive the red car to the right edge. It is a compact lesson in thinking about obstacles.

Tips and strategy

Start from the exit and work backward. Look along the red car's row and name every car that blocks the way.
Check which direction the blocking car can move. A vertical car slides up or down, so see which way gives enough room to clear the red car's row.
Tap the car you want to move, then tap the cell where you want one end of it to land. The slide works only if the entire path is clear.
Count the cells a car needs to clear a row. A two-square car must move far enough that none of its squares remains in the red car's row.
If you get tangled, tap Reset to put the cars back where they began, and try the other direction.
