Objective
Memorize a flashed tile pattern, then tap the same tiles from memory. Short-term visual memory is the whole game — the tile pattern is only shown briefly before you have to recall it from memory alone.
How to play
- Watch the tiles that light up for a few seconds.
- Once they hide, tap the same tiles from memory.
- Each round adds more tiles — see how many rounds you can survive.

About Pattern Memory Blitz
Pattern Memory Blitz shows you a four-by-four grid of tiles where a handful light up for three seconds, then switch off. Your job is to tap the same tiles from memory. Get them all right and the next round starts with one extra tile, so the pattern grows steadily until a single wrong tap ends the run. It is a pure test of short-term visual memory, and your round number is your score to beat.
Tips and strategy
- Look for shapes instead of single tiles. A diagonal, a corner cluster or a line of three is much easier to hold than four unrelated squares.
- Use the grid structure: note which rows and columns the lit tiles fall in, and say it quietly, such as two on top, one in the middle.
- Start recalling the instant the tiles go dark, while the image is freshest, and begin with the tile you are most certain about.
- Do not guess. A wrong tap ends the game immediately, so if you are unsure about one tile, leave it for last and think it through.
- The Flash Pattern Again button shows the pattern once more during recall, and Restart starts a new run from round one with four tiles.
What it exercises
Pattern Memory Blitz works short-term visual memory, concentration and the knack of chunking information into shapes. As the number of tiles climbs each round, it also encourages you to build and refine your own memory strategies. It also gives you a clear round number to beat, which makes it easy to see your own progress over time.
Frequently asked questions
- How many tiles do I need to remember?
- Round one lights four tiles, and each successful round adds one more. The tiles stay visible for about three seconds before they hide.
- What happens if I tap a wrong tile?
- The run ends straight away and the game tells you which round you reached. Press Restart to begin again from round one.
- Does the order of my taps matter?
- No. You only need to tap every tile that was lit, in any order. Correct tiles stay highlighted until the round is complete.
Try next
Card Match
Flip two cards at a time to find all the matching symbol pairs. A classic memory-matching game — remember where each symbol was flipped so you can pair them up in as few tries as possible.
Missing Symbol
Memorize 8 flashed shapes, then identify which one was removed. Tests quick visual memory — you only get a brief look at all 8 shapes before one disappears and you have to recall which one it was.
Chrono Recall
Watch a sequence of colors flash, then tap them back in reverse order. Classic Simon-style memory game — the sequence gets one color longer each round, so recall has to stay sharp as it grows.
