Objective
Place polyomino pieces onto a grid until every cell is covered exactly once. Every piece has a place — the goal is finding the exact arrangement that leaves no empty cell and no piece left over.
How to play
- Select a piece from the tray at the bottom.
- Tap a grid cell to place the piece, anchored at that cell.
- Repeat with the remaining pieces until the whole board is filled.

About Block Fit
Block Fit is a tidy tiling puzzle on a four-by-four board. Four colorful pieces, each shaped from four squares, wait in a tray, and your aim is to cover every cell with no gaps and nothing left over. You pick a piece, tap the board to drop it, and the shapes either lock together or leave an awkward hole. It sharpens spatial reasoning and planning.
Tips and strategy
- Pieces keep a fixed orientation and cannot be rotated, so study each silhouette in the tray before you choose where it goes.
- The tapped cell is where the top-left cell of the piece lands, so imagine the full shape extending right and downward from that spot.
- Handle the board corners and edges early. Tricky shapes like the zigzag piece are easier to place while there is still plenty of open space.
- Count what is left. A hole of three or fewer connected cells can never be filled by a four-cell piece, which is a warning to rethink.
- There is no undo for a single piece, so press Reset the moment you see an unfillable gap and try a different order.
What it exercises
Block Fit builds spatial reasoning, shape recognition and the skill of planning several steps ahead. Seeing how irregular shapes pack into a fixed area also strengthens visual estimation and the habit of checking for dead-end gaps before committing to a move.
Frequently asked questions
- How do you place pieces in Block Fit?
- Tap a piece in the tray to select it, then tap a grid cell. The piece is stamped with its top-left cell on the one you tapped, and invalid placements are simply ignored.
- Can I rotate the pieces in Block Fit?
- No, each piece stays in its shown orientation, so the puzzle is about choosing the right position and the right order rather than turning shapes.
- What counts as a win in Block Fit?
- You win when every one of the sixteen cells is covered. Since the four pieces contain exactly sixteen squares, that means all pieces are placed with no overlaps.
Try next
Shadow Match
Match each 3D shape to its correct 2D shadow silhouette. Tests 3D-to-2D spatial reasoning — the goal is recognizing which flat silhouette each 3D shape would actually cast.
Tile Rotate
Rotate pipe-segment tiles to connect a continuous circuit from start to end. Only rotation is allowed, not repositioning — the challenge is figuring out which orientation makes each tile's pipe openings line up with its neighbors.
Bubble Shooter
Aim your launcher and fire colored bubbles up into the wall — bank shots off the side walls for tricky angles — and match 3 or more of the same color to pop them, with dangling bubbles falling away too. Watch for 💣 bombs that blast everything nearby and ⭐ Color Bursts that clear every bubble of one color at once. Miss too many times and a fresh row pushes the whole wall down toward the red line. Clear a wall and the game automatically moves you to the next level.
