Mind Skill Games — Sharpen Your Mind, One Game at a Time

Objective

Trace every line of a diagram in one continuous stroke without retracing any line. A classic 'Euler path' puzzle — the goal is tracing every edge of the diagram exactly once without lifting your finger or crossing a line twice.

How to play

  1. Tap a starting node.
  2. Tap connected nodes in sequence to trace each line.
  3. Trace every line exactly once without lifting your stroke or repeating a line.

About One-Line Draw

One-Line Draw shows a small network of five labelled dots joined by lines. The challenge is to trace every line exactly once without lifting your finger, which in practice means tapping the dots one after another along existing lines. You may pass through a dot as many times as you like, but you may never reuse a line. Each puzzle is built so a solution exists, and finding it is a lovely lesson in how networks behave.

Tips and strategy

  • Count the lines meeting at each dot. Dots with an odd number of lines are where a single stroke has to begin and end.
  • If exactly two dots have an odd count, start at one of them and plan to finish at the other. If none do, you can start anywhere and finish where you began.
  • Avoid using a line that would cut off the remaining lines from where you stand. Keep bridges to other parts of the network for later.
  • Keep track of what is left rather than what is done. The unused lines are shown thin and grey, so scan them before every tap.
  • Show a Valid Start tells you which dot to begin from. Reset clears your path if you trapped yourself.

What it exercises

One-Line Draw builds planning skills and graph intuition. You compare how many connections each point has, reason about routes that cannot be repeated, and think ahead about which paths to save for later. Because mistakes are easy to undo with Reset, it is also a low-pressure way to experiment and learn from failed attempts.

Frequently asked questions

Can I visit the same dot twice in One-Line Draw?
Yes. Dots can be visited as often as needed. The only rule is that each line may be used once, and the puzzle is finished when all lines have been traced.
Is every puzzle solvable?
Yes, the lines are arranged so that a single stroke through all of them is possible. Where you begin matters, though, and that is the heart of the puzzle.
How do I know where to start?
Count the lines at each dot. When some dots have an odd number of lines, you must start on one of them. The Show a Valid Start button gives the answer if you want a hint.
