Objective
Guide Pac-Man through the maze, clearing every dot while dodging four ghosts — Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde. Grab one of the four flashing power pellets in the corners to turn the ghosts blue and hunt them for a few seconds, and use the side tunnel to slip from one wall straight out the other.
How to play
- Use the ◀ ▲ ▼ ▶ buttons (or your keyboard's arrow keys / WASD) to steer Pac-Man through the maze — a direction you set is remembered and applied the moment a turn becomes possible.
- Eat every small dot to clear the level; each dot scores points and the level ends once the maze is empty.
- Grab a big flashing power pellet in a corner to turn all four ghosts blue for a few seconds — touch a blue ghost to eat it for a big score bonus, sending it back to the ghost house as a pair of eyes.
- Avoid ghosts that aren't blue — running into one costs a life and resets your and the ghosts' positions, but keeps your score and remaining dots.
- The corridor on the left and right edges of the maze is a tunnel — walk off one side and you'll wrap around to the other.
- Clear the maze and a new, slightly faster level begins automatically. Lose all three lives and a fresh run starts a moment later.

About Pac-Man
This is a maze-chase arcade game in which you steer a hungry yellow character around a corridor maze, eating every dot while four coloured ghosts patrol the passages. Flashing power pellets in the corners reverse the roles for a few seconds, letting you hunt the ghosts instead. Clear the maze and the next level starts a little faster. It rewards quick reactions, but also the planning needed to read how the ghosts move.
Tips and strategy
- You can queue a turn. Press a direction before you reach the junction and the game applies it the moment the corridor allows, so start steering early.
- Save power pellets for when ghosts are close behind you. Once a ghost turns blue you have roughly seven seconds to eat it, and eaten ghosts return to their house as eyes.
- Learn the pattern. The ghosts alternate between scattering to their own corners and chasing you, and they leave the ghost house at different times, so the first moments are the safest.
- Use the side tunnel to escape. Walking off one edge brings you out on the other side, which can shake off a pursuer.
- Watch for the bonus fruit that appears a few times each level and disappears after about ten seconds. It is worth extra points, and you earn a single extra life at 10,000 points.
What it exercises
Pac-Man trains reaction time, spatial awareness and anticipation. You track several moving ghosts at once, plan routes through a maze while keeping an eye on what is behind you, and choose when to take risks, all of which exercise visual attention and quick decision-making.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I control Pac-Man on this site?
- Use the arrow buttons below the maze, or the arrow keys or W, A, S and D on a keyboard. Tap Start Game first. A direction you press is remembered and used as soon as that turn becomes possible.
- How many lives do I have?
- You begin with three lives, and one extra life is awarded the first time your score reaches 10,000. When a ghost catches you, you lose a life, positions reset, and your score and remaining dots are kept.
- What do the power pellets do?
- Eating one of the four flashing pellets turns the ghosts blue for several seconds. While they are blue you can eat them for bonus points, and they slow down until the effect ends.

One-Line Draw
Trace every line of a diagram in one continuous stroke without retracing any line. A classic 'Euler path' puzzle — the goal is tracing every edge of the diagram exactly once without lifting your finger or crossing a line twice.
Perspective Cube
Rotate a 3D wireframe cube in 90-degree steps to match a target orientation. Builds spatial rotation intuition — the goal is picturing how each 90-degree turn changes which face points where.
Shadow Match
Match each 3D shape to its correct 2D shadow silhouette. Tests 3D-to-2D spatial reasoning — the goal is recognizing which flat silhouette each 3D shape would actually cast.
