About Solitaire
Solitaire here is the classic Klondike layout played with a single deck. Seven columns are dealt with only the top card of each face up, and the rest of the deck waits in the stock. You build columns downward in alternating colors and send every card up to the four suit foundations from Ace to King. It is a patient, planning-heavy card game that rewards thinking a few moves ahead.
Tips and strategy
- Uncover face-down cards first. Moving cards from the tall columns reveals new options, while shuffling cards around in short columns rarely helps.
- Think carefully before using an empty column, because only a King or a run starting with a King can fill it. Do not empty a column unless a King is ready to move in.
- Tap the stock to turn cards one at a time, and note what has passed through the waste pile. You can cycle through the stock again once it runs out, so use that knowledge.
- Do not rush cards to the foundations. A low card can be more useful staying in a column as a place to attach a card of the opposite color.
- Select a face-up card in a column to move it together with everything stacked below it. Valid destinations are highlighted in green, which saves you from guessing.
What it exercises
Klondike Solitaire builds planning and sequencing skills, since each move changes what is available next. It also practices pattern recognition across suits and colors, keeping track of which cards have been seen, and weighing short-term gains against a longer plan.
Frequently asked questions
- How do you win Solitaire?
- You win by moving all 52 cards onto the four foundation piles, one pile per suit, building each from Ace up to King. Cards in the seven columns are built downward in alternating colors until they can move up to a foundation.
- Can I put any card in an empty column?
- No. In this game only a King, or a run of cards that begins with a King, may be moved into an empty column. Plan your Kings early so that empty spaces do not stay stuck.
- What does the hint button do in Solitaire?
- The hint button automatically plays every card that can legally go to a foundation right now. If none can move, it tells you so, and you can draw from the stock or rearrange the columns instead.

Unblock
Slide cars out of the way to clear an exit path for the red car. Every car can only slide along its own row or column — the goal is clearing a path so the red car can slide all the way to the exit.
Reflex Beam
Place diagonal mirrors to redirect a laser beam into the target sensor. Only diagonal mirrors are available, so the goal is finding the placement that redirects the beam through exactly the right sequence of turns to reach the target.
Water Pouring Riddle
Measure an exact volume of water using three jugs of different capacities. A classic water-jug riddle — with only fill, empty and pour moves allowed, the goal is finding the exact sequence that leaves the target amount in a single jug.
