About Flash Difference
Flash Difference sets two grids of colored squares side by side and starts a fifteen-second countdown. They look identical at first glance, but three squares in the right-hand grid have quietly changed color. Tap the cells you think differ before the clock runs out. It is a quick visual comparison test that rewards a calm, organized scan over frantic clicking.
Tips and strategy
- Scan one row at a time and compare it across both grids, instead of jumping around randomly.
- Compare the colors in pairs of neighbors. A cell that breaks the local color pattern is a strong suspect.
- Watch for similar hues. Some palette colors, such as indigo and violet, look close together at a glance.
- Tapping a cell that has not changed does nothing except use up your time, so look carefully before each click.
- Check the found counter and the timer together. Once two differences are marked, concentrate on the remaining unscanned rows.
What it exercises
Flash Difference trains visual discrimination, sustained attention and quick scanning. Working against a short timer also encourages you to settle on an efficient search routine, which can help in any task that involves comparing two similar items. Short rounds make it easy to practice a little at a time.

Card Match
Flip two cards at a time to find all the matching symbol pairs. A classic memory-matching game — remember where each symbol was flipped so you can pair them up in as few tries as possible.
Missing Symbol
Memorize 8 flashed shapes, then identify which one was removed. Tests quick visual memory — you only get a brief look at all 8 shapes before one disappears and you have to recall which one it was.
Chrono Recall
Watch a sequence of colors flash, then tap them back in reverse order. Classic Simon-style memory game — the sequence gets one color longer each round, so recall has to stay sharp as it grows.
