You have three closed boxes labeled 'Apples', 'Oranges', and 'Mix'. Every label is guaranteed to be wrong. You are allowed to pull out only one fruit from only one box without looking inside. Which box should you pick a fruit from to correctly identify the contents of all three boxes?
The box labeled 'Mix'
Because the 'Mix' label is wrong, that box contains either only apples or only oranges. Pulling one fruit reveals its true contents. For example, if you draw an apple, the box labeled 'Mix' is actually 'Apples'. Then the box labeled 'Oranges' cannot be Oranges (label is wrong) nor Apples (already found), so it must be 'Mix', leaving the 'Apples' box as 'Oranges'.
