Three boxes are labeled 'Apples', 'Oranges', and 'Apples and Oranges'. All three labels are incorrect. You are allowed to pull one fruit from one box of your choice. Which labeled box should you pick to figure out the contents of all three?
The box labeled 'Apples and Oranges'
Since all labels are wrong, the 'Apples and Oranges' box must contain only apples or only oranges. If you draw a fruit from it and get an apple, that box is actually 'Apples'. The box labeled 'Oranges' cannot contain oranges (label is wrong) and cannot contain apples (since 'Apples and Oranges' contains apples), so it must contain 'Apples and Oranges', leaving 'Oranges' for the third box.
