Three boxes are labeled 'Apples', 'Oranges', and 'Apples and Oranges'. Every single box is labeled incorrectly. You are allowed to pull exactly one fruit from one box of your choice to fix all the labels. Which box do you choose?
The box labeled 'Apples and Oranges'
Since every box is labeled incorrectly, the box labeled 'Apples and Oranges' must contain only apples or only oranges. If you draw a fruit from it (say, an apple), you instantly know that box contains only apples. Because the 'Oranges' label must also be wrong, the box labeled 'Oranges' cannot contain oranges—it must hold the mixed fruit. By elimination, the remaining box holds oranges.
