Four statues—Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum—stand in a hall. Exactly one contains a hidden key. The Bronze statue says: 'The key is in Gold.' The Silver statue says: 'The key is not in me.' The Gold statue says: 'The key is in Platinum.' The Platinum statue says: 'Gold is lying.' If exactly one statement is true, which statue holds the key?
The Silver statue
If the key is in Silver, Silver's statement ('not in me') is false. Bronze ('in Gold') is false. Gold ('in Platinum') is false. Platinum ('Gold is lying') is true. This gives exactly one true statement. Any other key location yields two or three true statements.
